Bud has so many haters, I still don't really understand why.

Tough ass fight for both guys. Both brought very difficult but different skillsets, and as happens in boxing sometimes at the highest levels, they managed to handcuff each others offense for long stretches.
Tough to score, any wide scoring margins says more about the scorer than the fighter.

Big respect to both guys, I hope and expect Madrimov to get some more big opportunities, 154 is about to be a very hot division and you can see he is just getting started.

Crawford doesn`t have much fights left. Maybe 2-3 fights at 154 against top opposition and than retire. And stay away from any idea of taking Janibek`s belts at 160.

The reason boxing is languishing is because the fans…screaming robbery when a close fight is presented or never objectively evaluating a fight.

Crawford could have fought a bs contender for his first fight. Instead he fought what his team repeatedly said was the best fighter in the division. Yes, he only had 10 professional fights. But he also had an extensive and well-regarded amateur career (similar to Loma but probably not on that level). Israil is a damn good fighter who will probably go on Pit Bull Cruz run after this and make a mark at 154.

I don’t think Crawford should fight Canelo. Canelo is just too big. But Canelo is going to have other really big fights that he can’t avoid: Benavidez or the winner of Bivol’s big fight.

A fighter should never be penalized for challenging himself when moving up. Crawford should go for undisputed at 154 and make history.

If Crawford fights Canelo it will be a Mayweather-type fight, no trading with Canelo or it's over. Like Sugar Ray Leonard vs Hagler, but Canelo hits harder than Hagler.

This is all nonsense, Crawford has been campaigning for Canelo, using Gingers name to promote his fight. Last night ended any chance of that happening. Crawford isn't exciting, can't bust a g**** above 147 pounds, and on top of that, he is going to want a sizable chunk of the split. Nope, Canelo can make $35 million dollars plus upside fighting anyone, let alone Crawford.

Are we sure that, in a vacuum, Janibek is better than Madrimov?

It isn't a P4P question when it comes to actually fighting though...Crawford fighting Janibek at 160 is a tougher fight than Crawford fighting Madrimov at 154.

More often than not, failing to impress in your previous fight is how you land a canelo fight. Such as Berlanga, Ryder, plant, Saunders, smith, ggg, Kovalev, khan even Bivol all failed to look good in their fights prior to canelo picking them. So who knows.
