Has Inoue ever even faced anyone as good as Madrimov? He’s going to duck Akhmadaliev for f-ck’s sake.

Oh yeah madrimov the legend! The lomachenko of 154 right?!!

I bet you didn’t know Madrimovs name prior to last night.

crawford can’t hang at the higher weights and that’s fine, weight class issue more than talent. But no need to blow up madrimov

Probably not. Both are good at their weight, but 14 pounds? C'mon.

Canelo must have liked what he saw.
Bud will have to run away from Canelo for several rounds and will end up losing badly.

Inoue was much much better when he changed divisions.
I like Bud and think he's great, but I agree with the bolded.

Great head movement and strong as a bull. That's the reason Bud missed so many punches. Madrimov's herky, jerky, ducking and side to side movement makes him a tough target. I see a great future ahead for him.

Fighting Canelo makes zero sense for Crawford. Sure, it's money but THAT'S IT!!! And what a terrible way to go out. Bud has two fights left in him, at max. One of those fights should be Fundora. And if I were Bud (or any other fighter against Sebastian,) I'd punch the hell out of those bony elbows and arms.
Good all around post and I can agree with most of what you stated. Bud is definitely an elite fighter, but I disagree on him being one of the best of all time...

Madrimov is better than people give him credit for. The Bud hate brigade is going to jump on any fight where Bud doesn't get the stoppage. Bud won the fight after being out of the ring for a year, dude is 36 and he needs to fight to stay sharp. Spence played games for eight months.

I'm not saying Bud stops Canelo. Mainly because as overhyped as Canelo's career is, his chin is all time. But go back and watch Canelo's last few fights. He isn't stopping guys anymore, he doesn't take any big risks that could get him hurt, for years now.

That is where Bud has the advantage, along with height and reach. He can outbox Canelo and win a UD. He is just a better, more complete fighter. Madrimov and his team fought specifically to take away Bud's rhythym. Canelo at this point is not going to maintain that for an entire fight. Canelo has a three or four round window to jump on Bud and hurt him. It could happen.

But once Bud weathers that storm, Canelo gases like he always does and lays back to start picking his spots. Bud would take advantage of that.

Just saying if the fight does happen, all these people saying Canelo is mini hulk who will tear through Bud (who will also weigh 168) are wrong IMO.

Madrimov had a great gameplan. He is young and like many of the fighters in that area, he is tough as nails and a thinker in the ring, very talented. Huge amateur career. The hate brigade act like he is a chump.

The bias is obvious and silly.

I have Crawford a slight edge 115-113. But, this fight made it crystal clear that Bud trying to go to 168 to fight Canelo is just fools gold. Bud is a very good fighter and IMO not an ATG when you carefully scrutinize his resume.

SRL, Hearns, or Hagler would have taken risk to prove their greatness. Bud had no desire to take any risks because he knows better than anyone that Canelo, even with his diminished skills, would put a big hurt on him.

We can only hope now that fan boy Turkie , will spend money on fights that make real sense like Bud v Boots, and Canelo v Benny.

Im not surprised at all how easy Valenzuela handled Pitbull by giving him a boxing lesson. What skills does Pitbull have? He comes forward, throws power shot after power shot, is off balance, and any fighter with confidence and real skills will beat him. Forget about a rematch with Tank. Pitbull better start working on having real skills.

Hearn crying like a little beach after the decision, is laughable. Turkie needs to work with someone who is neutral and knows something about matchmaking. I’m not a big Crawford fan, but admit he won a close fight. His resume, in no way comes even close to SRL, Hearns, or Hagler. He is absolutely not in that stratosphere. Bud is a very good fighter, but his resume is quite soft compared to those three greats.
