Bud fought a tough opponent that is quite skilled and won. Canelo looked ordinary in the ryder fight and ryder was a bum, looked ordinary in the ggg 3 fight where ggg looked old and worn out, looked horrible in the bivol fight (a sparring partner of madrimov). Try harder again.

As Hearn said, Crawford didn’t earn the belt. he was the favorite to win and there’s always a bias towards who’s expected to win, even from judges. this is what i hate about boxing. in this case, madrimov was the champ and crawford did not do enough to dominate madrimov to take the belt. madrimov kept up and hit crawford more than crawford hit madrimov. the numbers don’t lie.

Bud clearly won. Jesus. Madrimov doesn't get point for feints and that was most of his offense. If wasn't a bad gameplan because he had obviously watched Bud and knew that to not get knocked out, he had to keep Bud from getting into a rhythym. He acheived that but he never hurt Bud and Bud outlanded and outboxed him regardless. And I said before the fight, Madrimov is a damn good fighter with an extensive amateur career, his pro record is deceiving. And Crawford was out of the ring for a year due to the Spence nonsense, he wasn't as sharp as he could have been.

Of course Bud's detractors will use this as fuel. But Bud will look better against Canelo than he did tonight. Canelo has one mode, and Bud has height and reach on him and will outbox him if the fight is made.

You seriously believe that after tonight Bud can move up TWO weight classes and take on Canelo? Please pass me what you’re smoking.

That's not true my friend. I think Bud is top ten pound for pound. Just not as great as some of the hype .And I don't post negatively about Bud.Maybe I criticized him but that's all.You truthfully sound a little sensitive about Crawford criticism.

Wow! Yes! That was a very entertaining fight! Madrimov was superb. Crawford did enough to win. Great win for Crawford and congratulations to him on winning the WBA Super Welterweight Title!
