Crawford was the busier, more aggressive and the hungrier of the two. Also, he was able to string a lot of combinations punches together too but Madrimov did not.

As I’ve stated earlier in another thread; This was a very close but decisive victory for Terence Crawford. While Israil fought well; I did not have him winning this fight.

I thought he should have taken more risks but didn’t. His aim was to counter as Crawford outhustled him for the entire fight in order to make it a fight.

While Madrimov landed several lead right hands in the fight; However, they were mostly single counter punches while in the exchanges.

I always knew this was going to be the hardest fight Bud had in 5 years. That said, i saw the first 10 rounds very close. I leaned toward Bud but the last two rounds Bud took over and hurt Madrimov. He won clearly for me but it wasn't easy like hes use too. Boxing at 147-154 is SOFT. Thats why he looks so great. If their was a prime Floyd, Leonard, Pacquiao, Delahoya, Mosely in the mix TODAY. Bud would be food.

It was all geared up for Crawford. Turki is putting money behind him and already planning the fights before this one started, so Madrimov had no chance on the cards. Two judges only gave it to Crawford by one round and if you take into consideration this show was all about Crawford and they could still only give it by a round, it's probably a good indication he didn't really win.
I disagree. The judges got it right this time. Two of the judges had Bud winning by two rounds; Seven rounds to five.

Simply put; Terence Crawford won this fight because he wanted it a lot more. While Israil Mafrimov was too busy feinting and fighting in the counter punching mode.

He just didn’t let his hands go enough in order to justify winning this fight.

How did you come up with Madrimov winning the fight by a single round? Did you score it 6-5-1 for Madrimov or something?

It was close 7-5 is cool with me, bud got the last 2 rounds, its not the first time a great fighter has moved up in weight and looked less impressive. Buds opponent was very good and disciplined, he will be hard for many 154 to beat

Slightly off-topic but in general (and not necessarily directed at those who scored the fight for Israil), I've noticed that there has always been a vocal contingent that just doesn't like Crawford. I'm not sure if it started during the whole Crawford/Spence rivalry before they actually fought or something else...perhaps the Floyd or Canelo comparisons bother some. I'm not entirely sure why Bud generates so much disdain among fans, it's interesting.

I first noticed him shortly before the Briedis Prescott fight. I don't think I ever considered him to be one of my favorite fighters but I definitely respect him and generally have a more favorable opinion of him than negative.

As for the Madrimov fight, it's one of the first times, he didn't dominate his opponent in some manner. He's lost rounds before but usually rallied to emphatically win.

Oh my bad! I get it. Your score was probably 115-113 in favor of Israil Madrimov. That was a good score. Many boxing fans had Madrimov wining the fight. I just wasn’t one of them but the fight was close.
