Based on this performance, he struggles to close the distance, struggles in the second half, susceptible to the counter right and failed to have a response, a simple jab in his face throws off his rhythm, keeps a high guard but it can be easily pierced..

Hard and clean punching, effective aggression are why those cards were the way they were. Many judges don't score arm punches with very little impact highly. Defense and ring generalship being the other two scoring criteria.

I think Morrell is getting the right kind of hype but you are right that he maybe isn’t as dangerous as the pundits suggest.
