Legend Hall of Famer Manny Paqman was the smaller man vs Jeff Horn and lost the decision. Then Bud moves to 147 and batters Horn like battered fish at Fish & Chips. I still got 2K on the underdog in this one.
I compared them because they have Pro Style compare to Madrimov who had an extensive Amateur record which didn't mean much as he struggle vs Fundora.
Who has Madrimov beaten even slightly compare to Crawford level? Not only does Madrimov have little pro fights, but his opponents have been C to maybe B Level.
Skills, Speed, Defense, Precision, Experience, reach all favor Crawford.
The only thing I give Madrimov thee edge is his size. The power can be debated on who has more.
Not sure what going on about a pro and an amateur style. What is a pro style to you, precisely? Do all pros have a certain style and all amateurs another? I would argue that Madrimov has anything but a conventional amateur style. As I already said, Crawford should be the favorite here, but Madrimov is a strong, physically gifted, younger and naturally bigger champion - in the pro ranks. He’s not any kind of poser just because you haven’t seen him fight. Having said that, once again, Crawford is the rightful favorite here.
Interesting fact: 69% of all Welterweight champs that fought for a Junior Middleweight title, won it. Not sure I would bet money on the underdog with those facts and how gifted Crawford is and his skills but to each his own.

Amature is mostly pitty pat punches to land and score points. Pro style is to go in there and hurt your opponent. Sit more on the punches than dance in the Ring like Andy Cruz. I saw Madrimov in person many days, he has a Punchers chance, just like any other fighter. Just like Tszyu and Vergil do.
Styles make fights. I see Madrimov as the bigger version of Mean Machine and Avanesyan combined and both found success against Bud. My $ is on Bud by close UD and not because Bud isn't great, he will just be facing a big, awkward/underrated Champ.
Bad thing about this fight is I think it'll burst the bubble of Canelo vs. Bud.
