Suddenly you have became too philosophical for me, I liked better the old MulaKO
That's just like everything else in life
Take music for example
there are fans who will know the band and most its songs
Then comes the casual who enjoys only the hits of the group and likes the way they dress or whatnot
I get what your say that enjoying the background of the sport is something more but better to have casuals than no fans at all
imo that’s how something slowly but surely growsComment

The Great Duran. He gave me a t-shirt ,it had his face and Hands of Stone in gold letters , the first time that I washed it, all of the lettering fell off. He is still my favorite fighter though.
Brother man,I'm a Canelo fan not a cult member and I'll match my boxing knowledge against anyone on this forum .Anytime at all. And Garfios,Duran is my absolute favorite fighter of all time. I was fortunate enough to see him training in Palm Springs for Hagler. I can also confirm that Duran was in no condition to fight Hearns. Dan Goosen brought a relatively inexperienced pro to spar Roberto at Universal Studios. When this novice kept landing straight rights I knew Duran would be ko'd. And yes I met Roberto and his wife Felicidad. And guess which fighter Duran loves ?`CaneloComment

The ginger is a cherry picker, he's not been accused, it is proven fact. DMJ wanted to fight benavidez and he politely declined, ryder before getting beat up by canelo and munguia ran like a deer back to his home, mbilli twice or thrice he refused too. So what to do? Move up and start making noise. But don't worry, we have a couple of Cubans moving up on the ranks at 168, he's not out the woods just yet.Comment

Nothing wrong with being a canelo fan. What's wrong is the excuses that his fans are posting even though the guy refuses to fight not only benavidez, but any fighter with a pulse. He even came out with the now infamous "I don't fight Mexicans", only to skip benavidez when it suits him, and fight munguia who is a real Mexican, not half Mexican like benavidez. Duran is my all time favorite and we hang out a few times in Casablanca, Lola's, Victor's Cafe and a couple of after hours. We bought our Cuban chains and rings from the same store, los dos amigos cuban store in Canal Street long time ago. He is a good guy and doesn't hate anyone, so I'm not surprised he likes canelo.

He ain't answering that. He goes around posting nonsense and has ran out of excuses for his master. You should read the ones before and after bivol, priceless.
We both know that nobody who is a mandatory to the biggest payday possible isn't going to take a fight like that. It would be malpractice on their management's side to even consider it. Too much risk and no reward. If boxing were a sport they would do it , but you and I both know that it's a business.
So, do you find it acceptable for Canelo, the Champion, to duck his mandatory contenders to fight lesser fighters ? If yes , why ?Comment

Lol yeah but 217 wins against who? Thats mean sht. Look man, just to put thing same context, Canelos last 4 opponents adding Bernalgas makes a combined rec of 174-7 , thats only in 5 fights! and you see all the criticism it still gets. Morrell needs to step up and Saturday's be a decent test at last.Comment

Oh ok. So it would be malpractice for Canelo to take a riskier fight when he can make the same money fighting the Berlangas of the world.

Who has Morrell fought? You didn’t answer.
