This is par for the course. Clenelo doesn't love boxing. He loves money and golf. If he can blow smoke up his fanatics behinds, play golf and make money, why box? He doesn't have to anymore. He can cherry pick bums and has-beens still play golf and make boatloads of cash. He doesn't care about you, me, boxing, Mexicans, etc. It's money and golf.

Danny Garcia vs. Erislandy Lara as the co-main.....WTF? Why is this match-up STILL being shopped around?

Now that sadly Benavidez and Morrell are no longer options, what options does Canelo have left outside Mbilli after maneuvering his way out of those fights?

Canelo vs Mbili? Canelo vs Plant II? Then what?

I suppose there needs to be an even worse fight in the same card to make Canelo vs Berlanga look good in comparison.

The odd thing is that actually think Lara vs DSG is more competitive, with the heavily declined Cuban having good odds of beating the inactive and quite physically smaller Garcia.

Nah, legacy is dictated by the media and who talks the loudest (or I guess in the internet age who posts the most). The powers that be will support him because his earning potential, and his fans will support regardless. Legacy is safe.

Canelo is taking less money for this fight than he’d make to fight benavidez or Crawford.
This is Mayweather playbook Ortiz/Guerrero/Berto don’t get it twisted.

And duck Ennis at the same time. Madrimov is not a challenge. Ennis has more skills than Madrimov.

I'm not saying he wont be remembered as a great fighter. When we talk about him in 20 years we will all criticize this time in his career. Not letting go of the belts is where the criticism will be not his abilities as a boxer.
