Shakur will have to accept being the B-side and it's hard to imagine that mentally he can handle that.

The boss move would be to let Tank drive the negotiation as the A-side then Shakur go in there and box his ears off and show us all that he's really the one. (I know thats super unrealistic).

+ Winner of this fight has another big night on deck with Loma. Zepeda etc. still there as well.

Hope they can go ahead and get this one made. It's either Shakur wins in a possibly boring clinic or Tank catches him and it gets very interesting.

Shakur will think that he is valued more than what people will pay to see him fight. Tank either will go with another popular fighter or a fighter that won't command a high purse but still has somewhat of a name or career.

Shakur has skills but is yet to impress the masses.

'Shakur Stevenson-Gervonta Davis can't get any riper'

I'm starting to really love the BoxingScene headlines.
        This one is particularly good.
"Ripe" is what I use when I want to describe the odor of my son's crap-laden diaper.

Tank Davis will duck Shakur, it's clear as day light. Camaron is the Mandatory, either one is cool. Even Tank vs De Los Santos is fine.

I'm guessing Shakur prices himself out, personally. Tank I think does want the big fights now because he wants to get that bag since he's apparently starting to think about retiring.

I’ll be surprised if they even offer Shakur the fight. And not because he’s boring or can’t sell because they literally fought guys like Mario Barrios, Hector Garcia, & just recently Frank Martin. None of them could sell and Frank is the most boring out of the 3 and all three were lesser known at the time they got the call. At this point, the hate for Shakur & people wanting to see him humbled is at an all time high. I think this fight actually sells really well. They’ve sparred before. Tanks knows Shakurs skill set. If he thought the fight would be easy, he would’ve called Shakurs bluff and offered it already

Shakurs boring but he’s good. Hes a spoiler, really good at making guys look bad. He’s similar to how Rigo was when he’d box guys ears off in the most boring fashion ever. Nobody wanted to fight him because he was high risk low reward. Shakur is in a similar situation. Tank loses rounds against guys like Rolly, Barrios, Martin, it’s hard to see him not losing rounds to Shakur. And the worry is, if he can’t catch him and he’s down on the cards, then what?

Personally I think the disdain for Shakur and his style is at an all time high, while the praise for Tank is also at an all time high. If they were to fight, and it goes 12, I could see Tank getting the A-side/fan favorite decision regardless if he actually deserves it or not. But given that, that’s not always a guarantee. I don’t see Tank being eager to take that high risk

                No doubt!

Give Shakur a reasonable flat fee and a small percentage - say 20/25 % of the PPV. I bet Prince messes this up - sometimes it's these guy's greed that stops fights getting made - telling their client he's worth more than he really is just so their retainer (which I'd have negotiated if I was in his position) keeps getting paid.

tank generates the cash flow. But if I was Shakur and tank offered me 25% I’d tell him go F himself.

The Davis camp is going to try to lowball Stevenson. If the split is close to 40/60, Stevenson should take it. It may be a bit of a gamble, but if Shakur Stevenson wins, it's going to raise his stock in way, that the money offers will start to roll in....as he'll become the A Side.

It's like when you win a Grammy. Your album sales/stock goes through the roof.

The only thing he should not give into are any types of catch weight, rehydration clauses. That's Davis' game. Stevenson would be wise to ensure that he comes into the most important fight of his career in the best and most comfortable shape/weight as possible.....and not at a disadvantage.
