Matters a lot less since both GB and TR signed with Turki themselves... Not exactly rivals in the same way any more.

I saw that! Let's see who signs with him? Top Rank is part of that deal, so maybe that's why Munguia went that way, instead of staying with GBP?

Mungia is good for 3 to 4 more fights. The amount of accumulated damage he’s taken due to his style is already starting to show. He’s been hurt more frequently in recent fights and that Jaw and brain ain’t getting any stronger or rejuvenating. Good timed signing by top rank but this is for sure not a long term signing on either side.

Hopefully this leads to Munguia/Mbilli, instant FOTY

agreed the exposure to ESPN will be decent now if they jump right to BillyBoy they might give more exposure to him then Mungbean but we will see how they play each guys future out unless of course Dervy does something inside the ring his next time out, he sure deserves a big fight that he gets a win for his efforts several did not go his way but he was there and in it at all times......

Golden Boy did a very good job of navigating a limited fighter to a Canelo payday. The Inoue and Hogan bouts were enough to convince GB they needed to be very careful with who they fed to Munguia. In the end, they managed to avoid any banana peels and got the Canelo fight.

I think GB knows the writing is on the wall, one can only take so many flush punches to the chin. The deal works for TR in the short term as well since they can use the name to build up other fighters and score some viewer ratings.

Probably a win/win for both promotions.

Leaving GB will be the turning point of his career.
What are you talking about? Oscar built Canelo, Ryan Garcia, Munguia, Ortiz, Ramirez, Zepeda, and other fighters. Munguia got his biggest payday fighting Canelo, and he won't see a bigger payday for the remainder of his career.

Supposedly Goldenboy says Beltran is pulling his typical snake move and that they have a valid contract that they will enforce

Yes, we won't have to worry about the rip-off artist DAZN to watch Munguia fight.
