The reason Canelo is getting away with this act of cowardice is because of the MEXICAN AMERICAN fanbase that is willing to blindly shell out millions of dollars and will accept subpar fights.

That is true in the U.S. as well as Mexico. Just look at the PPV numbers. This guy is not a draw. The only time he gets attention is when he has Canelo's name in his mouth. His so called fans are principally Canelo haters. I get it! Hating Canelo is a cottage industry. It get lots of attention and makes money for pundits, youtubers and jounalists. Many people for many reasons what to see Canelo get his comeuppance. Still the guy is ducking his two mandatories and came out with "I don't fight nexicanas no more" just to have an excuse. Everytime he has fought a guy we said he wouldn't, it has been after the guy was past his prime, ggg is a clear example, and he fought a prime elite guy he was giving a gift, Lara is another example, he was supposed to fight Charlo years ago and he didn't, so he fought the smaller one after two years on the shelves, kovalev? Well what can we say about that fight, a drained drunk past his prime after a full camp and a grueling 12 rounds fight.
