It's a business Boyz. Fighters and boxers are afraid of no one. Keep in mind that Canelo signed his deal with PBC before PBC announced their deal with Amazon Prime Video. After the deal with Amazon was signed, Canelo rightfully reminded PBC that a big part of the Amazon deal was due to Canelo's alignment with PBC. PBC decided that was not the case and Canelo should honor the agreement. Canelo is honoring the agreement but against the lowest risk opposition until he is offered more money to take on the top contenders. So 2025 should be an interesting year for Canelo. I believe fights against Crawford, Spence, and Benavidez will be considered.

If Canelo can get paid and fight cans for the rest of his career, more power to him. Lots of miles on that car.

My theory is David thought moving up in weight is simply not having to cut as much and keep some extra gas in the tank when actually when moving up in weight, especially at the higher weights, you need to basically reconfigure your body into being bigger and stronger.

Canelo was banking on Benavidez moving up, losing or both.

Very bad move. Whoever is advising Benevidez is completely incompetent. What Benevidez needed to tell the WBC was, order my mandatory against Canelo and I will keep my position. There should have been a vigorous PR campaign against Canelo to fight him. Instead, there was a complete lack of effort from his advisors and promoter.

Benevidez has been given the worst advice possible. His recent fight against Gvozdyk was not impressive. Bivol or Beterbiev presents a more difficult challenge.

Team Benevidez gave Canelo the out he desperately was looking for.

I wonder if Boots will be doing the same as Benavidez? Yellow Crawford ran from the welterweights afraid of him, and now is saying that he prefers Canelo over Boots!$$$$$
