Benavidez. He will be battered in his next outing. And will kiss the canvas against the LH champion be it Bivol or Beterbiev. Canelo would fight DB for money and as is apparent, the money is not to be found. Which is fortunate for DB, as he would be KOed by Canelo. DB, is not destined for greatness. All those clamoring for Canelo to fight DB, DB is not in the same category as GGG or others who have actually tested Canelo's mettle.

Once Bivol beats Beterbiev and then Benavidez beats Bivol the Canelo fight will be that much bigger.

Canelo fought John Ryder, Mungia, Charlo before that and now maybe Berlanga but you not interested in Benavidez...Damn.

"That title-fight guarantee is something Sulaiman could not do for Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs) against Mexico’s undisputed super middleweight champion Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs)....This, despite the Phoenix fighter’s two-year-plus wait as No. 1 WBC contender..."

Let's not forget that slime balls like Suleiman helped allow this to happen. I'm not sure of any other sport, other than boxing, where a sanctioning body would allow this to happen. These parasites that masquerade as boxing organizations will stop at nothing to protect those things that generate wealth for them.

Sorry your feelings are hurt, but your scenario makes little sense. Mexicans don't care two figs about Benavidez. Contrarywise, Canelo is a huge draw in Mexico and in this country as well; he has been for more than 15 years. David draws crickets. Benavidez's fanbase is limited to immediate family, Canelo haters, and some pundits. Just examine the numbers.

Fantastic, would love to see him fight either guy. From an all action point of view, obviously Beterbiev-Benavidez would be more exciting.

If Canelo wants to fight him later on, he will, no mandatory status required.

Canelo has brought more casuals to the sport and given more life changing paydays to fighters than any other fighter in recent years, If he doesn't fight benavidez so bit it

Yet Berlanga earned it, right? That was one of many Gingers excuses to not fight David......foh
