It is sad that this thing will do good numbers. Play up the Mexico-PR Rivalry, tout Berlanga as some killer, and the gullibles will buy.

I hope it doesn’t, but it most likely will. I’m not buying this. It’ll be advertised heavily and lots of people that never watch boxing in Puerto Rico will buy it because that “0” in Berlanga’s loss column will make them believe he’s actually good.

And then there’s also a large portion of people on these forums that will buy it regardless because they know it’s going to be a slaughter. I COULD buy it for that reason…but I really don’t want to contribute my approval to this match.

And I usually don’t mind if an underdog pulls off an upset because of the hilarity that ensues, but I would legitimately be salty as hell if Berlanga did the unthinkable.

just checked Berlanga's boxrec page, all his opponents have zero or 1-2 star ratings, his last fight was against McCrory (3 stars) was his highest rated fight. For some reason Berlanga himself is rated 5 stars, boxrec sure has a weird formula for calculating ratings.
