Probably be the first time in years I won't be buying a Nelo PPV if this is set.

Berlanga is nowhere near it heck I would rather a Munguia rematch or even Eubank

I hope it doesn’t, but it most likely will. I’m not buying this. It’ll be advertised heavily and lots of people that never watch boxing in Puerto Rico will buy it because that “0” in Berlanga’s loss column will make them believe he’s actually good.

And then there’s also a large portion of people on these forums that will buy it regardless because they know it’s going to be a slaughter. I COULD buy it for that reason…but I really don’t want to contribute my approval to this match.

And I usually don’t mind if an underdog pulls off an upset because of the hilarity that ensues, but I would legitimately be salty as hell if Berlanga did the unthinkable.

On the highly highly highly highly unlikely chance that he wins, he just doesn’t my convince me that he’s gonna’ have an attitude/work ethic of a long term champion or hall of famer. This is a cash out for Berlanga.

if he had the perfect attitude and work ethic he still wouldnt get anywhere near long term champ or hall of famer, more likely he wouldnt even win a belt eubank style

Buster Douglas 2024 version. Pulls off a monumental upset and then the massive victory lap gets to his head and he gets blitzed in less than 3 rounds in his next fight.

just checked Berlanga's boxrec page, all his opponents have zero or 1-2 star ratings, his last fight was against McCrory (3 stars) was his highest rated fight. For some reason Berlanga himself is rated 5 stars, boxrec sure has a weird formula for calculating ratings.
