Hagler walks all over Hopkins, who tries to foul his way out and ends up faking an injury.

Hagler utterly dominates Hopkins who was great but when he was pressure he often fouled to find a way out or went into survival mode.

The issue I have with boxing fans/media is that they can’t rationalize how more than one thing can be true at the same time

        pre Avanesyan:
        Boots is top 10 pound-for-pound
        post Avanesyan:
I don’t want to compare Boots to fighters at 154 or 160

I have heard people say that Boots has poor defense. I don’t believe that to be true. [It's just that] Dolurme, Lipinets and Avanesyan ALL landed the same right hand

If Crawford really wanted boots, it would of already happened. It's funny how fans are so gullible that they actually think these so called best want dangerous challenges. They rather fight guys they know they can beat, say their the best and all the dips eat it up...

Always learn something from this column. Usually it is just along the lines of a different way to see the sport. Glad he is still here doing this.

Crawford made two offers to Boots and Boots chose loyalty to showtime over a fight…. He was in position with the WBO and chose the IBF route and an easier fight with Spence

I mean, Crawford made an offer to Boots to fight on BLK Prime.

Boots and his people turned it down because they thought it was more important to be loyal to Showtime.

Good points about the great Chocolatito too. Although I will say he ducked Inoue. That fight was there and Chocolatito turned it down because of money, and then he went on to the SSR fight and that ended up tying all the top guys at 115 up and left Inoue without a dance partner. So he moved up and became double undisputed.

That would have been a phenomenal fight though.

Hopkins always did something dirty when he was getting beat. Hagler’s mental fortitude would force Hopkins to find a reason to quit by doing dirty. Hagler all the way.
