I'm glad they got that superstar Helenius and slammed him with that 2 year ban stick. That'll show all the non-elite/non-super stars such as Canelo, when they dope, that they're going to have to suffer longer than a 6 month ban.

I remember when Helenius was coming up the ranks and considered a real contender. He went on a run from 2009-11, beating some veterans with notable names. Injuries and that loss to Duhaupas really derailed things.

I know everybody knows this already, but I'll reiterate. Boxing is so corrupt! I once hoped DeLaHoya would do better for fighters seeing as he got a first glance at the corruption. Helenius gets 2 years because he's not a huge money maker and who cares if anyone ever sees him fight again! Garcia is a huge draw, so he only gets 8 months! How blatant can you get??

what a surprise, lower level guy on the verge of retirement & they can give him a little more than a slap on the wrist ban, its just basically a way for commissions/authorities to make it look like they are a bit tougher on cheating when the reality is they are not

2 years should be the minimum for PEDS cheaters irrespective of your status if boxing is serious about keeping the sport clean.
