When a guy moves into a new division and basically beats #1,2,3 in a year, he deserves to take a showcase fight if he wants to. Besides Canelo when he went to 168 and beat all 3 belt holders to become undisputed, I bet nobody can name another guy who's done it in boxing recently.

He went through bantam the same way. He's essentially cleaned out two divisions, and the people who he didn't face have only themselves to blame. That idiot Casimero for losing to a sauna, and Goodman for swerving him when he was next up mandatory. MJ lost his belts, or he'd have had the fight already.

            This is an horrible mismatch

Doheny is too old and has no chin, slow fight with an average career as a champion, and has no power

The fight vs Nery was too wild and hard for Inoue, he said he can't remember what happened there.

So they picked a very easy fight against a guy with no power and speed and chin.

He has won his last 3 fights, all in Japan, so he is a bit of a villain there. He is currently ranked #10 by TBRB, #8 by The Ring, and #10 by ESPN.

Not a horrible fight but he should really be fighting Akhmadaliev.

This jerk is blaming canelo for fightd against goog fighters like Munguía and now look at him saying this kind of sh.it.

The fight is horrible and a easy fight for Naoya... Period.

Inoue is in his total prime, he is wasting time fighting guys like this

This is all over the Japanese wanting revenge cause their little hearts were broken when TJ beat two of their fighters and they couldn't get over it.
              Exactly

Most of real fans cant watch this sh.it of s fight

                Doheny lost against Michael Conlan

                Michael Conlan lol

That said all about the low level fighter he is...

If canelo do something like this ... hell....

A fight against Eubanks is 10 times better than this

Canelo has better resume and rivals than Crawford tank and Inoue at the same time...

Inoue never fought against a top-20 Pound for Pound fighter

He uses his cash cow status to make the fights with the best guys and give them career high paydays. When have you EVER heard anyone from Inoue's team say "if the money is right?" Fully half (51.8%) his career is against champions, most ranked in the top 4, and 81.5% of his career has been title fights, all against ordered mandatories or the best available fighters in the division. And he's got a signed contract to never take an easy fight. Out of all active boxers, he's the least likely to be a duck.

Far more likely that they were preparing for Goodman, and when Goodman pulled out for his random extra fight, they pivoted to the backup fighter ranked #2 by the WBO, and were deep in negotiations when the WBA decided to try to cut in line. He just got the WBA belt in December. Per their own rules IIRC, he's got over a year and a half to defend against the mandatory, and that's if WBA were next in line, which they aren't.

Personally, I think Goodman would deserve it if the WBO decided to sanction the Doheny bout as satisfying their mandatory and put his ducking a$$ at the back of the line again. What a tool.
The divisións of Inoue were straight sh.it.

Inoue is amazing but theur rivals were b clsss fighters and guys without good level most of times

His Best win is against and old Donaire a nery, a guy that was K.Od cold by BRANDON Figueroa.

                    Inoue needs more risks...

The weak super middleweight division that Canelo ran too from 160 was even more ****

His bum sparring partner yildrim, that bum Billy Joe Saunders who also got ran out of 160 by Demetrius Andrade and b level Callum smith

and ggg was already ancient when Canelo finally got enough balls to fight him after ducking him when he gave up the title he got spoonfed from old small Miguel cotto and cherry picking 140 lb Amir khan as a middleweight title defense

he ducked ggg and aged him out until ggg started slowing down and b level danny Jacob’s arguably beat him

What’s funny is donaire and ggg were the same age when they fought Inoue and ggg respectively

the only difference is Canelo fought when ggg was coming off a bad performance in which he arguably lost against b level Danny Jacob’s and Inoue fought donaire who moved back down to his prime weight and was tearing through the top contenders and had tremendous momentum

and then Inoue never had to give people hydration clauses or throw money at fighters until they take short training camps

inoue could retire right now and he will already have a better legacy than Canelo watered down manufactured resume

inoue would put a scrub like Mungia away in 9 rounds

if Inoue cherry picked bam Rodriguez right now and drag him up multiple weight classes like Canelo did charlo he would knock him out in under 10 rounds

                      facts over your biased feelings
