That's pretty disappointing to think that coming from Zepeda. I get that Berinchyk is the easiest title fight and that Zepeda is his mandatory too , but Shakur is a much bigger fight and challenge.

Get what your saying but we weren’t there for negotiations
Maybe and most likely , Shakur priced himself out
Then again he refused the Bobfather’s offer of 3 million a fight
Who knows what he wanted for the Zepeda fight and maybe Oscar turned the tables on him and said sign here or no fight for the amount he requested

Oscar can’t be that ignorant or can he ???
Good question. At times Oscar shows suprising wisdom and even restraint... But those times? are not most of the time lol.

If he can get Fishnets to put it in writing, he should join GBP for a 3 fight deal at least.
Oscar might well be like the late often misunderstood genius of B movies, Ed Wood. Wood was a heterosexual guy who happened to have an Agora sweater fetish... He did his best work dressed up as a girl friday with such a sweater... Had a really hot girl friend also!!!

Oscar, like Ed, might well need the fishnets to put him in a state where he can make sense, have restraint and act with wisdom.

Could be. Maybe Oscar wa ted to have the belt under his control no matter who won , hoping to make a Unification fight later , or he believed that Zepeda would lose . Promoting Shakur can't be the easiest thing in the world. He deserves big paydays because of his skill and position but he doesn't bring in the revenue , plus guys are going to want a good payday to fight him because they will probably lose to him.
Easy problem to solve by having a fan friendly style , but apparently that's not Shakurs thing.

All glazing aside, I honestly believe that the runner with the boyish looks is perfectly capable of dragging Zepeda into quite deep waters by being hard to hit through 7-8 rounds & then sniping him with crosses for the remainder.

Obviously I can't see Stevenson wanting to trade to the body with Zepeda or really & truly stand with him at any stage but I can actually see Zepeda taking some punishment in the latter stages a la Billy Joe Saunders vs Lemieux.
So you think Shaukar has the illa killa in him? While I am not sure, I do think you are correct that he needs an opponent that will trigger those aspects of his game, if they are there. Some guys fight to the level of the competition... Always been that way. Fury is like that.

                Well there you go
Everyone can be ignorant but then back dialing on something as Oscar has done makes me believe that Shakur is pricing himself out
Hence the reason Oscar says you want Zepeda you gotta sign with me
Sometimes you need that ace up in your sleeve to win the hand lol

You'd be surprised by how many people don't know about that part of Floyds career. Floyd was a killer early in his career. He was beating the crap out of people in the lower weight classes , before he developed really bad hand problems. I guess that either they are younger or didn't know Floyd before he got really famous. Floyd was a major badass at one time. The beating that he put on Diego Corrales was brutal.

Chico was one of my all time favourites
But the beating Pretty Boy laid on him was something else
I seen Floyd fight live and if I tell you it was damn hard to count his punches thrown in combo is to say the least

Interesting hypothesis , but to the best of my recollection, Oscar was with a couple of hookers , drunk and out of his mind on coke when the hookers talked him into the fishnets episode. They had a plan, and DLH fell right into it . They took the photos as a blackmail attempt .
All that to say that it is pretty clear that Oscar has no restraint and acts with no wisdom whatsoever in fishnets. Then again , maybe it was the booze and drugs, and the fishnets kept him from doing anything even crazier. So you could be right.
