These pseudo fighters need to get every advantage in the book to be competitive and simultaneously not end up as a vegetable.

Dehydration at this extreme can be deadly. Several bodybuilders have died over the years from being severely dehydrated. If you've got to dry out that much to make a weight, you really need to move up before you mess around and damage something permanently. It can't be easy to perform at a high level the day after you were about to pass out from dehydration. I don't understand why IV's are illegal anyway. It's just water and electrolytes, the same stuff that you can drink.

Bivol is a bit smaller, but he's solid. If Benny ends up at LHW, he'll have to change his nutrition, strength, and endurance training regimens. He'll also have to tighten up his defense.

Well well well, the Toxic Weight Draining culture with it's practices once again has had a negative effect on a fighter 'And a boxing event'.

Lets just think back to past boxing era's 'Sugar Ray Robinson had 201 fights in total. Henry Armstrong had 183 fights, once upon a time? Armstrong fought 27 times in one year. Do you guys think those great fighters were weight draining themselves, to the extent of modern day lower weight class fighters? The answer is, no they were not'.

The toxic weight draining culture, that we see in boxing today 'Is a completely modern phenomenon. Which has greatly increased in intensity since, the introduction of the day before weigh in rule'.

I have seen a article on this site, about a fighter called Jaron Ennis 'Stating that his intentions are to become a Undisputed World Champion in 4 weight divisions. In order to achieve such a feat Ennis is most likely going to have to use weight draining tactics, to fight in certain weight divisions'.

If that is his ambition, it would still be a great achievement but? I honestly don't rate or value multi-divisional world Champions that highly from this modern era of boxing 'During past boxing era's, before the day before weigh in rule was introduced. I believe that being a multi weight World Champion was a greater feat of achievement'.

Note: The Heavyweight Division is a open class division, there is no uncertainty surrounding the fighters 'The boxing community, and fighters themselves know what they are competing against. This is why the Heavyweight Division is the most pure and raw form of competition in all of combat sports'.

In comparison the lower weight division's, I have always been adamant that the quality of the competition between the fighters 'Has negativity been effected by the toxic weight draining culture. Fighters are not really in their optimal condition, and many times they are training primarily to make a weight instead of preparing to win'.

To conclude: When a fighter suffers in preparation for a fight like Janibek Alimkhanuly, then for sure that fighter needs to move up through the weight division's. From my observation in boxing today, fighters such as Floyd Mayweather Junior, Bernard Hopkins, Carl Froch seemed to be the last of the old school 'As fighters they never used weight draining tactics extensively during their careers. This supported their longevity in the game, and they most likely were able to train to win primarily instead of training to make the weight. There was definitely a entirely different training culture and attitude within past boxing era's, especially in the lower weight division's' etc.
