Certainly some irony here.

It was a closer fight than people are making it out to be. Could have gone either way. Fair decision IMOComment

I watched the first 6 rounds of this, realized the Concecao wasn't going to land much (which surprised me) and then fast forwarded through the rest. I inadvertently skipped the decision and just figured Foster got it. Another surprise.
Concecao has been on the wrong end of a couple decisions. I guess he was due for a swing in his favor.
As for Foster, he obv has skills, but he fought like a slightly more active version of Shakur. And that's not going to do him any favors.
I think he couldve turned shifted up a gear here and put on a better offense. Going forward, he should consider that before he gets stuck in that lane like Shakur.Comment

The problem with boxing broadcasts and specifically when heavily biased broadcasters are involved, such as Bradley, who is always heavily biased towards African American fighters, is that they can completely morph viewer's perception of what is really happening in the fight. Personally, watching that fight, I saw Cociencao throwign more, pushing the fight, and landing more, even gracing head shots or shots in the arms and body, which will definitely influece ring-side judges. I was dumbfounded about Bradley's comments that Conciencao was hitting 'nothing but air'. And by the way, I think the networks have gotten a hold of the compubox statistics as well. It's been a number of fights where the numbers just didn't seem to match what was happening on screen.Comment

It wasn't a good decision but that's what you risk as a fighter when you refuse to engage and choose trying to coast to a decision.Comment
