Is Stevenson really a mega fight though? Just cause Tank is involved really? I think the fight would be hella boring. Granted, just about any Stevenson fight would probably turn out that way. He seriously needs to incorporate more aggression into his style, or nobody is going to watch.

You guys remember Juan Manuel Marquez? People probably remember him for his crazy wars with Pacquiao, but prior to all that, he got a lot of criticism, especially from the Mexican fans who at that time were loving Barrera and Morales for their all action styles. Marquez was considered the ugly duckling of the 3 in that he was too much counter punch happy and rarely engaged. Well, he listened to the criticism and after the Pacquiao fights, he really became a lot more offensive minded. I think that is when the Mexican fans truly engaged with him and all a sudden, he became their new favorite fighter. That and giving Pacquiao hell in all 4 fights didn't hurt.

Algieri,Malinaggi, and Bradley, 3 non-punchers praising another non puncher . And keep Sweetpea’s name out of your mouths . Pernell didn’t have to run, he could stand in front of you and make you miss and then pay ! When he had to punch he could. You 3 and Snorekur don’t compare .

Bob Arum’s old ass should have no say about it. To hell with Keyshawn Davis. Zepeda is the WBO mando and the WBO should order that fight…unless they are just a corrupt pawn of Arum and have no shame about making that obvious to the world.
They're not only likely a pawn for Arum, Frank literally helped put the WBO on the map with fighters like Hamed, Calzaghe, Benn. Eubank etc etc.

And he's the main guy helping the Saudi's if that's the fight they want, it's whats going to happen.

The only sanctioning body that doesn't seem corrupt is the IBF but that's because they ended up in court for bribery and corruption after the Lewis vs Holyfield fight and "changed" their ways, "allegedly."

You look dumb sending those links which are basically half truths and have nothing to do with Zepeda not wanting to fight boring Shakur. 2 years ago, Zepeda was not well-known in the US were, due to the money, the fighs are made. Oscar now gave Zepeda exposure and everyone except you guys like him and his Mexican style. If the fight gets made, Shakur will be running, hugging, complaining, etc knowing that because of his race, the refs and judges will let him do anything he wants. To be fair, why doesnt Shakur fight Zepeda in Mexico? Not enough money, right? but he wouldn´t dare fight anywhere besides the US, unlike other fighters who fight anywhere.

I doubt Stevenson would be excited to make this fight after seeing Zepeda blasting his opponents by KO. For sure he was calling Zepeda out, but not this time around, I think. I'm guessing he would want huge paycheck for this fight.

You are pathetic. A) Zepeda has been fighting in the US for 4 years! I've seen him MANY times getting great exposure in Las Vegas, San Diego, Anaheim, Los Angeles, and other US locations! Guess you never heard of those places. 4 years fighting on American soil on nationally televised cards. B) Nothing was said in my post about Zepeda not wanting the fight. Eric at GBP nixed the fight. C) You look really dumb saying "you guys don't like him or his Mexican style" when the fact is, I enjoy every single fight he has had. Next time don't group me. D) Furthermore, you already admitted there is no money in fighting in Mexico - why the hell do you think almost all of Zepeda's fights in 4 years have been in the US? Money! E) Arum and GBP control the money and where the best odds are of a money location. Guess where the money is not? Get a clue.

I think Shakur can beat Zepeda. Zepeda is a high volume puncher. He doesn't have one punch power. He's an active fighter. It's his accumulative effect that Knocks out his opponents. He's slow. Shakur is fast and has more power than people give him credit for. Folks call him boring, but he looks good against his best competition.

And speaking of competition. This is where I give Shakur the edge. Zepeda has padded his record against lesser opponents. His 32 competitors have accumulated a total of 145 losses. Shakur Stevenson's 22 competitors have accumulated a total of 33 losses. Shakur's advantage is his level of competition. His record isn't padded.

Shakur is called a box office flop, but that's a mirage. The best won't fight him. He does better against his best competitors. Once he starts to get the better fights, his stock will rise.

I have a feeling that Zepeda will be the stepping stone that Shakur Stevenson needs.

Zepeda vs Stevenson is very akin to a modern day BHop vs Pavlik. Pavlik had high volume and was shut down by slick IQ.
