Did Roy Jones Jr. Stop Being Your Favorite After The Knockouts?

Roy Jones Jr. was my favorite fighter before the knockouts and I jumped ship after the Glencoffe KO loss. I feel bad man, if only Roy had retired after the first Tarver fight!

The KO losses just poured in after that! I’m really upset about this when I think about it but I feel like he never learned the fundamentals and let his ego get the best of him. I don’t have a fave right now but I like that young prospect Abdullah Mason and I rewatched Usyk work the ish out of Fury again and not even going to watch bud wifebeat on Errol again that was just nasty but those guys are really good!

If Roy had the fundamentals those guys possess he would def be the GOAT! But he still has a place in my heart! Shout out to you Roy!

So my question is Did Roy Jones Jr. Stop Being Your Favorite After The Knockout Losses?

It takes something away from his rep. If he retired after Ruiz, he would have been the greatest of his era instead of one of them.

Most definitely, he would have been the GOAT, would have been hard to argue otherwise.

He was one of my favorite fighters of the 90’s and early 2000’s until the PED ripped fuel cast a doubt over his career.

I didn't, he seemed like he enjoyed being Ko'd

I've heard speculation that it excited him

No, he took risks. Even if you are unbeaten it don't convince people. Even.If you are unbeaten, people will think this guy or that guy would beat you if you stopped ducking for just one second

Roy was always talking of not getting hurt in boxing because of what happened to McClellan. Strange to see him do a 180 and continue to fight getting knocked out a few more times.

Once he came back down from HW he wasn't the same losing all that muscle weight. He claimed that he was willing to stay at HW but Lewis or Tyson would not fight him and he wanted a big name for the risk.

At the end Jones loved the attention he would get while fighting.
