Fonfara must have forgotten why he retired in the first place. He'll remember soon.

He went three rounds total with Stevenson (in their second fight) and Joe Smith Jr.

Five rounds if you include his 2nd round knockout at the hands of (drum roll) Derrick Findley.

That's all one needs to know.

Did the writer all of sudden also forget Joe Smith Jr annihilated him as well in the first round?

I predict nothing but success in this latest venture. He's older, inactive and going up against bigger men who will likely punch harder. For a man with a questionable chin and suspect defense what could possibly go wrong?

When I hear of Fundora coming back after 5 years to fight at a heavier fight that tells me he needs the money and has been called by other promoters to fight one of their up and coming champions for name recognition. Coming back at 2 divisions above light heavyweight tells me that Fundora isn't in good shape. Hopefully he will learn some better defense instead of blocking punches with his face.

Well he's fighting a 44 year old soccer player. So I'm sure he'll be OK.

He's probably getting paid in gift cards.
