Boxing is one of the least contrived, and still one of the most popular sports in the world. I get that with the end of the Cold War there is an avenue for competitors from all over the world to compete with one another directly to determine a world champion outside of the Olympics. But that doesn't diminish the importance of Olympic boxing to the sport, and to sports as a whole.

It makes no sense to get rid of the sport, and I don't really see what the detriment is to keeping it.

The committee that oversees the international boxing was disbanded. Cannot remember why. But without one, the Olympic Committee will not allowed boxing to continue. Takes a ton of money to get one of those going.

you are conveniently leaving out that lil g stayed in Europe till Hopkins Pavlik and Taylor had moved on. Then he cam over and fought BUMS. Then started claiming cotto and Martinez were ducking him but gimme a break. Cotto and Martinez were on the last fight or 2 fights of their careers and why fight lil g the can crusher when they had huge fights with each other and cotto with mayweather right after? No ducking occurred that’s a complete fallacy drummed up by lil g nuthuggers. It's not possible to have a serious discussion on this topic with you - everything you've posted is fuelled by an illogical hate... Referring to him as "Lil G" over and over again reeks of it. There must be a reason why he triggers you in this way?

GGG didn't "conveniently stay in Europe" he was under contract with Universum, who as we know ran into financial problems making his position there very technical and drawn out until he was eventually able to terminate his contract. Also they were not granting him his in-house mandatory wba title shot against Felix Sturm who was quite frankly terrified of him.

You must be out of your mind if you honestly think Pavlik would've had anything for Golovkin... That fight would almost certainly resulted in a KO/TKO for GGG. Golovkin at that point was a MONSTER, he had everything but was even more fluid with faster reactions. The Hopkins fight would've been a good contest, competitive in spots but GGG would've likely won by unanimous decision

Everybody knows Golovkin beat Canelo in that first fight - he showed that his pressure fighting style was superior to Canelo's countering style hence why Canelo conceded the pocket and was constantly backed up around all 4 corners of the ring. The correct score was 116-112 or at the very worst 115-113 to GGG. Anyone who viewed the fight as a draw or a Canelo win either longed for Canelo's dong in their mouth or was affiliated with Golden Boy in some way. Adelaide Byrd 118-110 - say no more, its public knowledge she received envelopes stuffed with cash. Don Trella scored it a draw - that fuqin moron awarded GGG's most dominant round in the fight, round 7 to Canelo?? Even Adelaide Byrd gave that round to Golovkin. If Trella scored that round correctly you'd get a majority decision win for GGG. So Golden Boy actually bought off 2 judges for insurance and THAT is the reason why Canelo got gifted a draw against GGG

whoever your favourite fighter is GGG P4P tops them in terms of power, chin, IQ, amateur achievements, professional achievements fan base and finances.
