  • The Saudi/Wembley card is really disappointing.

The main event is good. Think it’s a really interesting fight. The undercard though lack’s intrigue for me.

You’ve got a featherweight coming off back to back losses getting a title shot at the weight above. That’s not a fight I wanted to see.

Josh Kelly going up to 160 makes no sense either. Liam Smith hasn’t fought in a year and certainly hasn’t been in gym by the looks of things.

Sheeraz vs Denny is solid but it’s a massive downgrade from Sheeraz-Eubank Jr.

Buatsi-Hutchinson is also a solid matchup but again, nowhere near as interesting as Buatsi-Yarde.

Chamberlain-Padley is a complete mismatch plain a simple, it’s a world ranked fighter against an area champion.

Anyone else a bit let down by this card?

Was just about to say that maybe the Turki dude just ain't all that but really, I think this is the UK's fault. The 3 major UK promoters got together and put together a ho-hum card because the talent is thin.
    MulaKO MulaKO likes this.

Yeah it definitely falls on the promoters. The budget was obviously there, they should’ve delivered far more.

        I think it's decent.

        Could be a lot better.

          Very disappointing card
Especially the fact that funds shouldn’t be the problem

On paper Buatsi-Hutchinson looks the most interesting to me as far as the undercard goes. Nobody in the world has ever asked to see Cacace vs Warrington or Smith vs Kelly.

Could it be better? Of course, but that could be said about pretty much every card. This isn't the absolute best card that this set of promoters could put on, but I'm ok with most of it. Of course Buatsi/Yarde and Sheeraz/Eubank are more significant match-ups, but Eubank and Yarde can't get out of their own way. Denny/Hutchinson earned bigger opportunities, and there's no reason Buatsi/Sheeraz should wait for Yarde/Eubank. Regardless about my feelings on who does/doesn't deserve a title shot, Cacace/Warrington is a potential FOTY candidate. Kelly/Smith is a crossroads match-up to see whether Kelly is finally ready to ascend to world level. Personally, I would give Chamberlain a better opponent, or give his spot to Sam Noakes or Dalton Smith.

Congratulations to Cacace for getting an extra payday before he has to take that mandatory I guess. Warrington is 1-3-1 in his last 5 fights with 2 KO losses at featherweight, so obviously the logical move is to give him a super featherweight world title shot. Never mind that he hasn't won a fight in over two years.

For what the hype was, def a huge downgrade, not even that excited for it anymore. Not sure why people are claiming its class, no it isn't. A decent card, but not a i can't wait card. Warrington is washed has 1 win in last 5 fights. Liam Smith is washed won Eubank with a dirty elbow then got beat up 2nd fight. Buatsi Hutchinson mando nothing to be excited about, Buatsi Yarde is what everyone wanted, yeah i know the issue there was Yardes queensberry dispute. They could have at least got Wardley Clarke 2 on there, or give Sheeraz a bigger name, think he was at that point now where his names is getting more out there performing well and needed to fight a bigger name to build his resume.

I actually quite like Cacace/Warrington, but I would have preferred Cacace/Wood and don't understand why Leigh isn't getting this shot instead. Rest of the fights are fine but no overwhelmingly intriguing matchups
