Rightn ow people rea like " yea 145 no problem for cotto" get outa here. He's gona struggle, his boy ain;t capable of going down to 145, he barely makes 147.

Also the fact that makign 145 is not gona allow him to hydrate more than 160 too. So cotto ain;t gona be HUUUUUGE in the fight like people say.

Wasn't that long ago he was fighting at 140, and came in at 146 against Clottey.

He won't have much trouble at all, making 145, and yes, he probably will be a middleweight on fight night.

How much money did you put on Pacman?

if he has problems making the weight.. thats his problem and he should have thought about that b4 signing any ****!!!
Well, you can say "you signd the contract" and that's fine. True that.

But realizing that there are only a few fighters in the sport that have real leverage, it raises the question of fair dealing.

What will guys have to agree to in order to get fights with hatton, pac and mayweather?

If that is the case, then JMM signed a contract, and he has nothing to complain about. Right?

A pound literally is nothing to them. Just a few Krispy Kremes, perhaps.

If you are in shape, and have already drained 13-14 pounds to make weight, and additional pound MAY be a lot.

Unless cotto is bruce lee that had possibly 6% body fat. he will still have 1 freaking lb to lose. i knew many people while i was in the navy that could lose that one extra pound if necessary that was well below your 20%.

dude is a professional boxer with professional nutritionist . he should be able to push out one extra 12" **** to drop a pound. stop being a b*tch about 1 lb. cotto isn't bitching about it. he was the one that proposed the 145 vs 143. stfu

We are talking about the fifteenth as opposed to the thirteenth pound. Why are you talking about fat as it relates to miguel? Does fat contain much water?

Cotto compromised to fight at 145 as that was the only way that the fight was going to happen. That doesn't mean that it is going to be easy for him to make the weight. I can list quite a few fighters who lost titles on the scales in the last few years, but knew the weight that they were supposed to make. That doesn't mean that they aren't training hard for the fight...just that losing those last couple of pounds for the weigh-in are the hardest as, like Al Haymon pointed out, they are usually the 12th and 13th pound that they are having to lose to make the weight limit. Why do you guys think that these guys go up anywhere from 8-12lbs overnight? Do you really think that they went out and ate 12lbs of food? Most of it is water weight from re-hydrating as they had to squeeze as much water out of their body as possible to make the weight. Just to let you know, 1lb of water is 16 ounces...two cups. That is a ton of water to try to lose at a weigh-in.

Why am I not shocked that floyd huggers are already attempting to discredit a potential Pac win?
