My statement: 'that is a common and valid point'

How does that relate to mayweather/marquez?

    Jim?
A valid point that a LW has to fight at WW at WW? I don't get it.

jmm agreed to a WW fight, and yet made another weight stipulation, so really he is in the same boat as pac in this sense

if WW is the weight class that the fight was agreed to be in, then thats the class, not this "oh man ill fight u at WW but u cant weight more the 145 pounds"

147, but he came in at 142. That's why he's not fighting Cotto at 147 --- Pacquiao is a Light Welterweight.

Anything over 140 to 147 is Welterweight. It doesn't have to be on the limit.

              Jim,

Just admit that your last post was a non sequitur, and we can move on.

But to get back to logical parities:

Pacquiao wanted to fight Cotto, fight him at WW. In this case, since there is a belt at stake, i have a strong preference for 147.

Marquez wanted to fight Floyd, fight him at WW. In this case, there is no belt at atke, so i have no problem with a catchweight.

Marquez ASKED for the fight at WW...and that's where it was.

                i understand this

but saying cotto has to come in at 145 is bs imo

let cotto make 147 like we've seen him do time and time again and pac will weigh what he wants to weigh

Admit that your "point" was not valid, and we're good.

Marquez didn't ask for the fight at WW, sorry. He called out Floyd hoping for a catchweight, which as we all know didn't happen.

                  Next.

call out someone, and not fight in their division?

what part of the game is that?

thats like JML calling out mosley, but SSM can't weigh more then 143?

145 probably wont kill him but it DEFINITELY wont help it. In fact it will hurt him more than to help him. At the end of the day, the BEST Cotto is 147.. So in a way, Pacman has an advantage with Cotto coming in at 145 whether the advantage is big or small we will find out in a few weeks
