I agree that this fight should have been annulled but Haney needs to stop whining and get back in the ring. Garcia still beat him even tho he was juiced and over weight. He still landed those punches on Haney. Haney needs to drop that ego and fix some of his flaws.

The difference is that Haney now knows what could happen if a power punch catches him. He will inevitably go to 147 and things will get complicated there if he doesn't change the team and learn to make adjustments.
Ryan, who isn't even elite, managed to do it 3 times.

When Margarito cheated with Cotto people were sympathetic. There was no question about it. Not like with Haney and there's a reason for that. Cotto was perceived as a stand-up guy because of the way he handled himself.
Haney lost that fight, it's unfortunate they were some hijinks involved, but he's not undefeated. He knew he was taking the fight under conditions that were sketchy but he wanted to take that fight.
The weight was a factor, probably more than the steroids... And perhaps the biggest factor to the loss, was how he underestimated Ryan. Haney is responsible for this spectacular meltdown as much as Ryan for cheating.
I think Haney's father creates a lot of problems for him. He really has to deal with this situation as a stand-up guy. Do what Cotto did, rematch the cheater and show your better.
Peds don’t make you a better boxer , skills were there before and will be there after
Haney is just that , an ungrateful human being ( not to mention Bill ) and overlooked and made the fight with Ryan personal
This goes way beyond the Garcia fightbilleau2 likes this.

Haney rehydrated to 165 pounds for his fight against Prograis. Prograis weighed almost 157lbs on fight night. 25lbs is a lot, not everyone can do this.
Ryan may have come with 3lbs more to stay at the same weight in the fight or close to it (~165lbs), nullifying any advantage of the weight bully. You never know

It doesn't seem an insult at all to be paid 1.6M when you're not a draw and your opponent's not a draw. Purse bids reveal the truth, if the fight was worth more, there would've been bids to back that up.
Martin beat Garcia, also beat Teo in the eyes of a lot of people. It seems like he's too much risk. Let's be honest, Garcia didn't earn the shot at Haney, but Haney wanted a big payday for a fight he was a big favourite in, and he got his wish. So now Haney got the big payday for the cherry-pick (gone wrong) he should fight the top contender.

What happened to boxing man.
When Sugar Ray, lost his 0 in a tough brutal fight to Duran (prolly 15 rounds in those days). Sugar Ray said get me that mofo back in the ring asap.
Now one loss, and these coddled dudes are contemplating whether they will ever fight again.
