Haney gets his undefeated record back but will he ever be the same fighter after that beating?

Garcia has only himself to blame, regardless it was tainted supplements or something more intentional. As per Rafael, Garcia reached an agreement for this to be the punishment meted out.

You're saying that Haney a fraud because he rehydrates a lot of weight, which is not against the rules.

Whereas Garcia, who misses weight, which is against the rules, and uses PEDs, which is against the rules, is less of a fraud?

How does that make any kind of sense?

In time it won’t matter. All people will remember is Haney got his ass whooped and it wasn’t the 3 pounds or dietary supplements that beat him. He can have his NC, now he’ll be even more careful to match himself against a sure win rather than take any real risks.

I don’t see where Haney goes from here. Will he stay at 140, who will he fight for big pay days and a size advantage? Teo is the only fighter at 140 outside of Ryan who can earn him a good payday and title. Sandor Martin is the safer bet since he lacks punching power and has already been beaten 3x, but not a PPV event. Catteral might be too much risk for too little reward, but a winnable fight.

          Yeah that makes sense.

You and some others in this thread are showing your true colors.

Haney has done everything you said Americans don’t.

Took a short deal, in the opponent’s home country, won. Went there again for a pointless rematch, won. Made the fights with the best opponents, no rehydration clauses, won.

Then you and others like you that hate American boxers, combined with the posters like Ghostof that hate black people, celebrate the loss and the beating he took at the hands of a PED cheat.

All you guys have such contempt for Haney but none for Ryan, who disgraced and embarrassed the sport.

The rules should be changed so that fighters have a DQ loss in cases like this. If you get caught cheating by the ref during the fight, he wouldn't declare it a NC, he'd disqualify you, so it should be the same when caught cheating afterwards. We know he had it in his system for the fight. I'd give a longer ban, though this is better than the 6 months I expected him to get.
