I totally understand the skepticism of accepting such a purse after receiving such high paydays. Sandor Martin is not the kinda guy u want to get out of your cashmere slippers to train for. In a sense it's not a bad thing, Haney is still considered a 7 figure fighter. Unsure how much of that worth comes from the belt though.

”Booty Ennis?” C’mon fam, don’t do that! I think what Eddie wants, is for Devin to drop the WBC belt, and go fight Liam Paro in Australia. Honestly, it’s not a bad move, because Haney vs. Martin ain’t worth it! Now, Bill could pull a power move with J. Prince, and make Haney vs. Stevenson! If Eddie don’t get behind that, then he’s exposed himself to the fullest!Comment

Haney’s response is mint. He’s not an entertaining fighter, he’s not a money maker, he hasn’t been promoted well at all, matchroom is no longer in the business of losing money as they did for years (other peoples money I might add) and Haney really shows how naive he was to think of Eddie Hearn as a “friend” who is as always going to throw away money on him. Haney has been overpaid, period. Hearn is a villain but just because he doesn’t want to lose money doesn’t mean he’s the villain this time. Haney needs to reevaluate his worth and where he needs to go for the best promotion. Being matched with the right fighters on the right cards with the right audience is what he needs. Also, couldn’t hurt if he was a bit more violent on his fightsComment

But they didn't. Dibella was negotiating with them with Bob Arum completely out of the picture.
DAZN clearly wanted nothing to do with Haney. The graph on their bottom lines probably showed
Haney never made a dent on their marketability.Comment

I guess thats why the CEO of Devin Haney Promotions didnt place a bid on the fight either........Comment

You're right THEY do live to play victim. Like Cryin Ryan blaming his steroid use on the devil while screaming NO WEAPON SHALL PROPER AGAINST ME....or all these illegal immigrants running over the border crying about asylum because they are victims of dictatorships or the Jan 6th rioters in jail playing victim because they goy locked up for storming the Capitol. You're right..THEY do play victim a lot!!! LolComment
