Decent fight. Thought a 117, 116 score was fair for Bena.

There were several sequences early where David legit lands 4-5 combos all flush right on Gvozdyk's head. he legit didn't even blink or pause. came right back with counters.

The only guy who did that regularly and didn't hurt their opponent is Malignaggi.

I thought he looked great for the first 8 or so rounds, best I have seen him especially defensively. He got tired but I don't think its a big deal or much of an issue it was his first fight at the weight and The Nail looked considerably bigger.

Definitely surprised at how well Gyzodyk took his punches though, he either he got a chin transplant during his time away from boxing or Benavidez hasn't carried his power up.

Am I the only one dealing with sporadic video failures in their feed?

I think Martin's going to pull off an upset.

Not impressed, but it answered a few questions that I had about David. His defense has gotten much better, and he's able to slip and parry the shots of a bigger longer boxer like gvozdyk. Does he beat Bivol or Artur? I'd say 30% chance against Artur, since we've seen him clipped and dropped before, and maybe a 20% chance against bivol. Against canelo,I'd put him at a solid 75% chance of winning.

I think he clearly had the fight won going into the 9th 8-0, so he slowed it down a bit.
