This will be Paro's third homecoming fight in enemy territory (Prograis, Love & Matias), obviously not bothered by it. Paro also fights his second highly rated Puerto Rican opponent (Yomar Alamo 20-0, & Subriel Matias 20-1) away from home.

This will be Matias' first homecoming fight, first Australian opponent, and he's never won a points decision.

Matias V Paro will be a clash of styles, but don't underestimate Paro's confidence & psychological warfare.

I can see either of them taking it home we all know if Matias starts landing paro is in trouble but if Liam can fight the perfect fight he’s got a shot and he’s capable of it. Very good match matching
I do see this fight being a fierce battle between them until one fighter imposes his will, and style on the other.
We will talk after their fight tonight, Waiting impatiently for them to start throwing leather in each other direction.

Call them bums all you want, I don’t care lol. I’m just asking, are Matias previous opponents bums in your opinion, since you said Paro isn’t one?

Imo yes Matias is overhyped and his level of competition has been lacking. That doesn’t mean he’s not good or the hype is unwarranted paro will be by far the best opponent he’s faced and vice versa for Liam.ahould be a very good fight

There you have it LAchargers373, Liam Paro frustrated the hell out of Subriel Matias, last night.
I hate to say it, but Paro, made Subriel, look like a country bumpkin/hick lost, and confused in a new city (chess vs checkers)!

A defending champion whose name, renowned accomplishments, and the trail of undefeated fighters whose fighting spirit he's broken down, which precede's him.
There is no way in heaven, hell, or on the face of this earth that you aren't nervous about the task you are about to part take in.
You have a chance to win this fight just like any other fighter on a given day, but you have a monumental task awaiting you in Puerto Rico.
I won't say anymore about it, because I don't want to jinx Subriel 'El Orgullo de Maternillo' Matias, who is on a mission to unify, and to become undisputed!
Well, you might have said to much after all. Matias showed his flaws worse than ever. Only his staunchest supporters or family members could still believe that this guy could become undisputed JWW champion. He's been exposed again as a very limited fighter.

When did Paro fight Prograis? Amateurs? Sparring?

I might have said to much, but all fighters have limitations.
I believe that if they ever fight again, Matias will be prepared to deal with Paro's constant holding, wrestling, and illegal blows behind the head.
If Matias can put a couple of wins together in impressive fashion, which I believe he will, and a rematch is secured.
That fight will be a real nasty affair to say the least, because now Matias knows that he'll have to break Paro's wrestling tactics.
Even more than that, he'll have to throw more punches to the body, arms, and then to the head, he can't wait around to land power punches.

I wouldn't bet against Matias in the rematch, but only because I think so little of Paro who is eminently beatable. Though he has decent footwork, Paro is overall a terribly basic fighter who punches with ZERO intent to harm. Matias at his best has proven himself to be a real beast, but he very much RELIES on his opponent to simply stand there and play rock'em, sock'em robots with him until one guy gives out. Any world class fighter with good feet and decent mid-range boxing craft should beat Matias. Based on this weekend's performance, Matias loses wide to Haney, Teofimo and Puello and, based on his listlessness this weekend, I would bet on Pitbull Cruz to outwork and outsmart him. This loss is really devastating to Matias' future prospects.

Also, to your point about Paro being a dirty fighter, Matias' uncle Luis Pabon more than compensated Matias by all but disqualifying Paro for breathing.
