Was never as good as some people once fought but was unquestionably a talented kid. The DeMarco performance always sticks in my mind as probably his peak.

I just watched the Cobbs fight and damn, Broner is an absolute shell of himself man. He looks 34 going on 54. I never liked the guy but I do pity him, I always think it’s sad to see people essentially ruin their own future whether it be in boxing or just general life.

Broner’s careless attitude and complete lack of discipline essentially wasted any talent he once had. I suspect it’s wasted the majority of the money too. Should be a valuable lesson for any young fighter on the same path. You have to stay disciplined and put that work in!

A lot of these young fighters fail to realise “Money” Mayweather was gimmick not a lifestyle. For all his bravado, Floyd was a gym rat who trained his ass off and stayed incredibly disciplined.

He wasnt even that talented he was the product of the HBO hype machine and very carefully matched fights in the beginning of his career. He shined against much smaller opponents like gavin rees, eloy perez, jason litzau. As soon as broner moved up in weight his talent no longer shined through like it did when he was bullying midgets.
