Zhang dropped Forrest a few times early but Jerry survived the onslaught (he's pretty rugged and durable). I think Zhang exerted himself pretty hard to try and get the stoppage and we all know how suspect his gas tank is.
By midway through the fight, he was pretty much exhausted to the point of collapse and I think he was hospitalized afterwards.
Each and every fight and the matchup it presents is different. Triangle theories don't apply and there are so many variables involved in the fight game you can't just assume one fight will be easier than the another.

The answer is in Zhang’s amazing story, that explains how he found a new dedication late in his career.
Needless to say, the fact that Wilder has past his effective years after Fury - Wilder III had a lot to do with it too.
if Fury doesn't beat Usyk in the rematch, history will show that Fury and Wilder ruined each other in their three wars.
That's what happens in this rough sport.WillieWild114 likes this.

A lot of autistic people can’t see things out of patterns
they get bothered when a person operates out of the normal pattern of skills they recognize
its a sign of autism. Wilder has been successful and destroyed a lot of skilled boxers on his way there. He was just a bit different but it brought him success and he was in fact very good fighter. Champion with many defenses. Beat a lot of good guys.
But autistic incels can’t recognize it
