I agree. However, Wilder is still more famous in the U.K. Than he ever was or shall be in The U..S. Due to his trilogy with Tyson Fury.

Their trilogy helped boost both of their profiles. That is the reason why Tyson Fury is so popular.in the U.K today. He was never the box office draw he is now before Wilder.

Also, it’s the reason why he is even more popular than Anthony Joshua in the U.K. Due to his trilogy with Deontay Wilder.

Lastly, if Eddie Hearn was to announced a Deontay Wilder vs an Anthony Joshua fight today at Wembley.

Then it would sell out in just a matter of hours and shatter box office records everywhere.

You may well be right about Wilder's relative popularity in the US and UK. I have some doubt that AJ and Wilder could still sell out Wembley in a few hours, but who knows? I suppose AJ could sell out Wembley fighting anyone. I'd rather seem him take on Zhang or Dubois if he can't get Fury or Usyk one more time.

I will never understand why he hired Malik Scott as his trainer. He could have went with anyone else or simply stayed with who he had. He was never the same after that switch. Also as he stepped up in competition you could tell how the ability to set up his right was non-existent, which is why he could not do much against Parker, Zhang and to an extent Fury.

Wilder's ego and lack of maturity prevent him from working with a quality trainer who would hold him to account. He needs yes men and cheerleaders around him.

What promoter dreams of promoting a guy who has last 80% of his recent fights, hasn't even been remotely competitive in them and even his ret@rded fan base has turned on him, who support solely based on race, so them turning on him tells you all you need to know.

He's not a huge feather in anyone's cap, he's a bum (and I don't ever call fighters bums) who's lost every single fight against guys with a modicum of skill, half the talk about Wilder lately is discrediting him as a win for Fury when he was an undefeated "monster", how he avoided AJ and Whyte.

And how he didn't start fighting a string of heavyweights until his 30th fight and his first real step up was against the cruiserweight Liakhovich in his 29th fight.

Where you get this idea promoters dream of him is beyond me, he doesn't sell out in his own backyard and there is no intrigue in the man anymore.

Also Fury popularity doesn't convert to PPV buys because most of his fanbase is dole dossers ironically, so if any of them converted to Wilder it's of no benefit to him.

Also he's (Fury) never even sold 1M PPV buys in the UK market making him significantly less popular than David Haye, so the popularity you think he has, it's an illusion.

Usyk has far more recognition than Wilder, Parker has done the biggest PPVs with every single fighter he's faced including Joshua, Wilder is a nobody without Fury... the same cannot be said of Fury.

The only reason he's even has any recognition is because he's the only champion who's even successfully defended a belt from America since Rahman if you consider a draw a successful defence or Lamont Brewster if you want someone who had legitimate defences not a draw before losing the belt.

If he wasn't American he would be dead in the water.
