Is Bill Haney mentally ill? Why does he feel the need to lash out at everyone?

Theres obviously some of that going on, but I also think there is a tactic of the sh^t talking dad who gets the opp flustered & off his game while the son is mild mannered & focused. A lot of these boxing dads come with that energy too. The dad does the sh^t talking & the son focuses on boxing. And it works far more often than it doesn't.

That, or he's just an insufferable jackass
From what I see Bill made a lot of bad decisions in his own life & once he had kids he did a lot of sh^t to help them not make as many bad decisions + help them achieve their goals. He helped Devin in boxing. Hes helping his younger son in tennis. I think his daughter is still pretty young but I'm sure he'll help her with her goals too once shes older. This is basic sh^t a father does or should do for their children.OneHittaQuitta1 likes this.

Add to that these father-trainers are learning on the job too and they're not used to the media spotlight either, they've got a load of pressure on them as well.

Haney's 165 lbs on fight night didn't give him the size advantage he has in previous fights. He agreed to go on with the fight despite Ryan being 3 lbs over. They are handling this loss as bad as Wilder did his two losses to Fury. Delicate bunch.
