The Top Rank schedule is mostly garbage

Mbilli vs Derevyanchenko is the highlight. Stevenson vs Harutyunyan, Lopez vs Claggett, Espinoza vs Sanchez, Zayas vs Teixeira and Janibek vs another full blown bum.

What kind of pathetic budget are they giving Bob?

ESPN has experienced financial hardship over the past years - I think Todd and Uncle Bob decided to shrink right along with them and do more with less.

As old as they are, I think they're playing the long game - PBC is a ghost of an organization now and GBP's budget exists because of some Russian billionaire.

ESPN is a the best platform to grow a fighter right now. All the names in Amercian boxing now were actually built by HBO/Showtime - Canelo, Crawford, Tank, Lomachenko, Wilder.

We don't know what a post-HBO generation looks like yet.... sticking with ESPN is a shrewd move IMO.

One more year on the ESPN/Top Rank deal I believe.

Could be winding down the funding...

Saudis may be the only choice now.

At least Foster vs Conceicao on the Stevenson undercard should be good.

But yeah, it's mostly big mismatches on these Top Rank cards. Even Inoue ended up fighting Dasmarinas and Dipaen back to back in 2021. Top Rank Diet.

foster - conceicao is their best scheduled fight.

dasmarinas was ibf's overdue mandatory and dipaen was because of covid and casimero's clowning. in the end it was dipaen (who barely got into japan in time before stricter lockdown), some lesser japanese fighter or nothing. fighting dipaen was bad but much better than not fighting at all.

Instead of just making Shakur v Loma they give us 2 crap matches no one cared about.

I'm assuming Shakur doesn't get to fight Lomachenko since he's exploring the free market

He’s exploring the free market because Bob blocked the fight and made Loma v Kambosos and Shakur v whoever this guy is.

But really, who would want to fight Shakur? Any decent fighter prob expects to chase the whole time and would be afraid to piss off fans. I think only an unknown would be willing to take the risk in case they could be the first one to catch him, and get that credit.

That only happens when he had these TR bs fights where he has everything to lose and nothing to gain.

Look at the Valdez fight. He would fight Loma like that and imo beat him the same way.
