  • Compare Usyk against Joshua (the first fight) and against Fury. Who did better?

Ok, so... Usyk fought Joshua and Fury. I omitted the second fight because both men had previous knowledge of each other in a way that will only be so when Usyk fights Fury again.

Both fights are nuanced, with very distinct differences. Ebb and flow, the relative success of each man... Who did better? and why do you think this?

    Thoughts?

Fury was KOed. Beaten pillar to post. Looked like dr eggman on stilts. Absolutely embarrassed

So you think that one event more or less determined the fight? What if Fury had taken a knee initially before he looked like a big baby being beaten around the ring in a diaper? Would it have been any less important to you?

The gypsy was beaten like he stole something from one side of the street to the other.

It looked like a hate crime of passion

Based on Uysk reactions in both fights, I honestly think Fury was hurting him more with the uppercuts. Fury, minus the 9th rd was neck and neck with Usyk which is further confirmed by the scorecards. Joshua on the other hand, from what I can recall was mostly dominated by Usyk from beginning to end. Until Usyk changed the fight against Fury, most people thought Fury had figured him out and was on his way to running away with the fight. That to me is not officially a dominant performance. It was literally the left hand that Usyk got in that changed history for him. Without that, it would have been a draw.

Oh and this is coming from an Usyk fan, though I'm saying it how I saw it. I really hope Usyk can just blast our Fury in the rematch, but I don't think Fury will ever be that easy for Usyk.

              ?
I am not taking a pov I am asking you a simple question. You feel that Usyk was really successful that round, most would agree, but if Fury had taken a knee initially, the beating would not have happened. I am asking you if dropping Fury this way would have equally impressed you. Some would feel that this was still a 10-8 round and won the fight for Usyk ( I would agree with that). Fury could have taken a knee. It would still be a 10-8 round. But when he tried to stay up, he not only looked like an egg on stilts, but the ref could have stopped the fight! It was, on the whole, not a smart thing to do.

Some people might say, if Fury had been smart, took the knee, it ould not have been such a big deal, kind of like Cunningham dropping him.

Fury had some success but he adapted badly to Usyk from the very first round he did not like the pace, did not give the first rounds away on purpose but he couldn't afford to spend that much energy already early on. He knows his gas tank and his body. Certainly wasn't 'The Riddler' from the Wlad fight. Showed only glimpses of what he could do back in the day. The Riddler under Peter Fury would have UD12'd Usyk without any problems, could sustain that mid round offensive for more than 6 rounds.

The question was who did better. And despite Fury getting smashed up for 10 seconds in the 9th round Fury troubled Usyk more than AJ did.

There were moments of the fight were Fury looked comfortable and like he COULD win. AJ never had such moments.

Fury must have screwed your girl or something because every post I've seen from you seems like you're in your feelings about him lol. And I say that as a Usyk fan.
