I think Dubois takes it against Hrgovic. He's been waiting around for his Joshua pay-day for like 2 years and he's getting paid very well for this fight which is why he took it. Thought Zhang was a stay-busy. There's a reason he wouldn't give the guy a rematch. I'm really tired of hearing his name with no impressive performances ever. His 2 wins last year were shambles opposition.

Every fight is a crossroads fight at this level. Look at Parker, for whom every fight has indicated he was either done or back. The reality is that he was never done and was always a good boxer. He just lost against some decent fighters, which is what might happen when you fight decent fighters.

Wilder v Zhang and Ruiz v Miller are proper end of the road fights though. Both losers will be finished.

Hrgovic and Dubois still have plenty left regardless of result. Whoever loses will only need a decent win and they'll be straight back in it.

This line is so ridiculous and silly. It’s what some use to describe Lennox too while wilfully ignoring he got KO’d twice by journeymen.

If AJ faces Usyk a third time and manages to win, we’ll be hearing that shït for a long time - “AJ has beaten every opponent he’s faced”! What a croak of shïte.

This one is used all the time to describe fighters who at least got revenge against those who defeated them. Its no different than saying, "up until Parker, Deontay Wilder floored every man he faced." Even though Stiverne went 12 rounds with him in their first fight.

I actually like the phrase, I think its a good way to note that there is a bit of chance out there in the ring, sometimes the fighter who is consistently better, isn't better on a given night. But at least that fighter who lost came back and showed, or at least provided evidence, that they are better than the man who beat them. And I think most people recognize the meaning of the saying.

Nah, Hrgovic -Dubois loser will not be finished, why? Dubois is still young and Hrgovic never lost so far. It is a heavyweight division, one good win and you are back. Look at Parker.

Zhang - Wilder loser is probably done, because they are both old and the loser will have two loses in row.

Ruiz -Miller loser is also finished. That would be Miller.

Boxing has a way of bringing back those who hang on too long and those who are deemed - by conventional wisom - as "finished", although usually as a gatekeeper or just as a name on a resume for an up-and-comer.
