Gene Tunney was an ATG at Light Heavy, but I don't know if he did enough work at heavy to be considered there. I believe he only had 8 fights against an actual heavyweight.

Fair list. I wouldn’t put Johnson at number three, although he something of a personal hero.

I'm not even knocking Wilder, he amazes me for accomplishing what he did starting as late as he did, but he never beat one great fighter, his best wins were King Kong. Fury has beaten one great fighter in Wlad in what was probably the worst heavyweight title fight in history. AJ at least beat Povetkin, and had an epic war with a legit version of Wlad, and beat a good version of Whyte, and avenged his fight with Fatso. Mike almost single-handedly brought boxing back to the mainstream and was the Michael Jordan of boxing for a few years, and won plenty of other fights later vs. very good fighters, in devastating fashion such as Big Lou and The White Buffalo.
I meant to also say that I'm not knocking Fury, and think he could hang with anyone in history at his best, b/c of his ridiculous size-skill ratio and his toughness, but for greatest lists, the resume must be involved.

Foreman is 2nd only to Ali, he proves that by regaining the title 20+yrs after he retired and on top of that his last fight vs Briggs they had to rob him

Thats why I prefer to judge greatest by who I felt was the best (usually at their prime, then add on for extended prime) inside the ring.

For most people, all greatest ends up being is resume and often times the greatness of a resume is more determined by things outside of the ring- whether it be having a good management team or fighting in an era which allowed you to pile up more intriguing stats on your resume. I find it more fun, though definitely more difficult to argue, to base it on what you see in the ring (or at the very least written accounts for some older fighters) than just boxrec.

Rid**** Bowe probably seems out of place but he was underrated..

It's definitely a hybrid H2H and what they achieved list..

Not a bad list. Holmes had 21 title defenses and should be ranked number three on this list with Lewis ranked a lot higher. Lewis should be ahead of Frazier. Rocky should be ranked higher because he retired as a undefeated heavyweight champion. Thank God Wilder and Fury aren't on this list.
