Heavyweight Cassius Chaney is looking to build off his spectacular knockout of Trevor Bryan last November. Chaney faces former 2012 U.S. Olympian Michael Hunter as part of Don King's "Fists of Fury" event on June 7, at the Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Man, Hunter's career really took a down-turn. He had a spirited effort against Usyk at CW and then a decent run at HW with wins over Kiladze, Ustinov, Bakole and Kuzmin. He was mentioned as a possible opponent for AJ when the Big Baby fight fell through and fought Povetkin to a draw.

Chaney hasn't won at the same level as Hunter (and I suspect he never will) but he may have a chance if he gets the same unmotivated Hunter that was in the ring against Jerry Forrest.

Hunter had his 2 WBA eliminators with Hughie Fury postponed then cancelled all together. That was part of the issue for his inactivity. He only had 2 of those fights with Triller i believe & then having to fight in Mexico. His career has stalled since he turned down the Hrgovic IBF eliminator.

Continuous health issues. Not even injuries. That acne disease he had for years then long term covid. He lost a good 3-4 years from illness & add the covid period where not many fights happened & you got a good 5 years lost. He is only 29 & has a lot of experience. He is probably just happy to be able to fight again. 2 in four weeks & hopefully a few more this year with gradual step ups in opposition. I doubt he wins a world title but he can remain relevant as a fringe contender.

Who did Don King murder to get this joke turned into a WBA interim world heavyweight title fight?

Neither one of these fighters deserves to be anywhere close to a title fight. Period.
