At some point, increases in competition level are well timed and appropriate. I'm not saying this is necessarily the right step for Dirrell right now but I don't think it's fair to say that Dirrell can't win simply because he's an up and comer with resume that's a work in progress.

ppl also did the same thing before Calzaghe/Lacy. Discredited Calzaghe and say who has he beat, Lacy is going to steam-roll him.. LOL, they ignored the fact Calzaghe fought a prime-reid and Eubank though... So Calz was actually tested before fighting Lacy ppl in the states just didn't know that. Lacy fought a reid that wasn't in his prime and so did Froch. Or maybe their was a style-clash between Calzaghe that made him for whatever reason have problems with Reid in that fight. Though I heard Calz hand broken his hand or some sort.

I'd back Taylor and Pascal to beat Dirrell.

Those are style-clash ups though. ****, Dirrell could completely embarrass Froch but may lose to one of the fighters you mentioned. But still its not fair to dis Dirrell if he passes his test this Saturday. I have a huge hunch that even though Dirrell may pass it might not be too fan-friendly. I don't think he is dumb enough to trade with Froch. Thats alright with me since I felt the Lopez/Rogers fight was lame even though most thought it was awesome. I don't know I used to like GATTI/Ward type fights but I'm starting to respect defensive fighters a bit more now.

Maybe, but my hunch is that a lot of people just wanna see Froch taken down a peg or two and hope Dirrell is the ticket.

            I don't see it.

Anyone know if this is a bigger or smaller ring? I would think Froch would attempt to secure a smaller ring..

I would parlay that for sure on either side Froch/under or Dirrell/over.

If Dirrell runs than it'll go full 12 but if he decides to get brave he'll get stopped

Small arena usually mean small rings. I'm basing this on nothing BTW.

I put $50 down to win $110.00 on a parlay of Abraham/Taylor over 11.5 with Froch to win. I'm thinking of throwing down another bet of Under 11.5 on Froch/Dirrell. Such high over/under #s is making it very difficult for me to resist.
