That’s not usually how it works, the higher profile fighters usually get a slap on the wrist.

I always wonder about the most common 'contamination' excuse. It can't be proved how much 'contamination' equals how much ends up in your system and therefore how much gets detected. Way too many variables with metabolism, time, 'meat' (which can't be tested) for any boxer to be genuinely worried.

Everyone knows how this stuff works, there's always a get out. It's not like Olympic level doping which is systematic and well organised.

Haney has a right to be outraged for Ryan's antics, not making weight & doping too. Ryan is a primadonna who needs to be disciplined and disqualified if he can't or won't make weight. Fighters should not accept fights if they know they can't make weight.

The post fight comments show why a lot of people were happy Ryan won despite coming In overweight.
