the b sample matching just means there was no lab contamination in the a sample i think

this is usually if not always the case anyway

most know this and dont even want the b tested

now u just have to prove intent, which is a hard thing to do, they try it a lot in courtrooms with lots of lawyers etc and get it wrong too, beyond a reasonable doubt and even on the balance of probabilities in civil trials

then there is this 'strict liability' term, which i take to mean u pop u get banned no exceptions, but it doesnt mean that it means something else as people pop and dont get banned

what i meant by lab contamination was that if u have a sample split into 2 parts

One part tests positive for substance A with a test done in a certain lab at a certain time
One part tests negative for substance A with a test done in a certain lab at a certain time

i presume that same lab does not test both samples here

In this case u might assume contamination from the first lab is the source i presume


Now if both tests show up the same substance, as is normal, u would have to have the same contamination in both labs of the same substance, what are the odds of this? very very very long i would say

Except that there have been warnings about many sports supplements having trace amounts of Ostarine since 2017. And the amount they have is consistent with those amounts.

The first test was positive for Ostarine and Nandralone, then was later cleared of Nandaralone but not of Osterine.

Just because supplements are known to be contaminated with a list of trace amount of PEDs doesn’t prove anything as to whether that’s what has happened here.

You can make an identical argument for almost every person that’s ever failed a drug test in boxing. It don’t prove anything.

Garcia failed two seperate tests for Ostarine. The chances of him being cleared is very unlikely. Slap on the wrist and a backdated short ban however is most likely.
