Then lost to the first world class fighter he has boxed, a former CW who he outweighed by 40 pounds and had a huge reach and height advantage over.

The fury-hating trend exploded after his third Wilder fight but he has himself to blame for that. Still, many people forget his comeback and how inspirational he was just as how superior he was against Wlad. But the guy was disliked even back then. On the other hand, there is a trend of overhyping Usyk. What Atypicalbrit says is true: nowadays fans are awful. Be sure that if they rematch and he beats Usyk convincingly, some people will say something like "it doesn't matter" (wow!), "Usyk is old" (like he was young 6 months earlier?) or any other utter nonsense. Whatever, the fun thing is that whatever we argue about it doesn't change our views and there are future generations to come and reevaluate more or less. As you can see, some will even go further in diminishing his achievements, whatever they are, by calling good or top 10-15 fighters bums, like if Usyk beat two great heavyweights and one that is good, along with two bums, that somehow makes him ATG already and he has nothing to prove. Of course, this doesn't mean that Fury missed to fight just 2-3 more top guys, if not else and things would have been different. So yes - there are double standards. And I am repeating it: it is mostly his fault and he pays the price for it but not giving him credit at all is also wrong.

Majority of the ones belittling the loser are those who disliked the loser to begin with due to their antics/habits/words. Fury, like Haney, had a lot people who personally hated him so of course a lot of people will use the chance to their benefit. I mean, just around the same time both Navarette and Cordina both lost but because they didn't have as many fans nor haters combined, they haven't blown up anywhere near the level of Fury or Haneo.

lol, sorry, I just felt like using his own words. I don't have anything against Fury per say, but his fans are annoying. Hopefully they've dropped about 85% off this forum. Oh and Fury's excuse that the judges gave it to a country at war was hella ******. Like that had anything to do with him nearly being KO'd in round 9. Fury is not a bum, he was not overrated, in fact the opposite is true, Fury is an incredibly skilled big man who has had a very successful reign at heavyweight.

Fury fought and beat Klitschko when Klitschko was the reigning heavyweight champ, sure he might’ve been older and past his best days but he still was The Champ who reigned for 10 years, and Fury was the one to dethrone him.

Fury didn’t dodge the biggest puncher in boxing ie Wilder, instead he gave him 3 fights. He plowed through Whyte, Chisora, and a handful of other top gatekeepers.

And in Usyk he fought one of the best of this generations fighters and came up short in a close fight. No shame in losing to someone who will go down in history as an ATG.
