I also don't think Fury listened to his corner much anyway. You think they were telling him to showboat and lose the first few rounds off of inactivity? He has an obnoxiously big ego that just got crumbled by a middleweight as he said.
Obviously Usyk was just better and a deserved winner, but in the last round Fury stung Usyk and didn't follow up. If Fury thought he was losing I think he would have gone for broke - and with his size you never know if he could have forced a knockdown. It's far from impossible and crazier things have happened in a final round.

John Fury had to be taken to the doctor after he was found headbutting a tree to let out some steam.

        Haha

He should stick to training tommy for the YouTube boxing. He's perfect for that world as the pantomime mad man.

He belongs nowhere near a corner in high level boxing.

If I was Sugar Hill I'd just tell Fury I'm gone if John is gonna be in the corner

The first Fury move is to tell his old man to stay in the caravan.

Absolutely. He won't though, I get it, it's his old man but he's not equipped to be in a corner at this level.

if you read my post early in the thread, John is there because it's probably easier than keeping him away. He already broke up the Fury and Davison partnership by slating Ben on live TV, he's also done the same with Sugar. These are not only Tyson's trainers but his friends too and his dad creating tensions between them unless they let him be involved. He's like a child.

If I was Sugar Hill or if I was another trainer that Fury approached to work the rematch, I'd say I'd only be in the corner if his dad is not in camp or in the corner.

Uncle Pete and Cousin Andy could do a better job than Sweet cheeks and Fückwit John.

If he could've finished him or knocked him down then he would have. He would've wanted that more than anything for his own ego after getting obliterated in round 9. But he couldn't and he didn't and it wasn't because his dad said he was up; it was because he had nothing left and likely had a concussion.

Wouldn't make any difference. He couldn't match usyk at that point. He might have tried being more agressive and would likely walk into something to put him down.

fury strategy for the whole fight was spot on - something similar to what bellew did, but neither could match usyk’s gears.

Fury should have sacked his dad mid-fight. The absolute least helpful person in that corner, or any corner that I can recall.

In about the fourth round or whenever it was, when they clashed heads and Usyk picked up a cut, did anyone else hear John trying to rub it in by shouting "HAH HAAA!" at the top of his voice? He sounded like Nelson from The Simpsons. A grown man acting like an absolute child.
