No announcement yet.
I’m pretty confident Fury will beat Usyk.

My guess is that how Fury fights will be dictated by what power he feels from Usyk. If he doesn't feel threatened by Usyk's shots then he'll walk him down. If he gets buzzed then he'll keep it long.

The thing with Fury is we know he can switch it up and dogfight if he has to.
Does Usyk have a plan B if he needs it? As far as I've seen, he has no inside game. Like a lot of fighters who had long amateur careers, they often don't have any inside game. Usyk just covers up and waits for the ref like they do in the amateurs.
One of my only criticisms of Loma is I don't think he really has huge versatility, he's just brilliant at what he does. The fact he doesn't have a strong plan B is the reason Teo beat him, he nullified his angles and Loma had no answers until Teo strayed from his plan, then he got back to it and won the fight. I often wonder if Usyk is similar. They're exceptional at one thing but when it's not working, then what?Last edited by deathofaclown; 05-18-2024, 07:42 AM.Brumsongs1 likes this.

Why are you interested in Fury-Usyk anyway? You prefer to harp on about fights that happened 9 years ago just because your man crush got schooled.

He has great recovery, but let's not act like his chin is granite.
Usyk can and will knock him down if he lands a proper punch.
Almost 99% of elite heavyweights can knock each other down with a proper punch. Duh

I had a dream that Usyk was on his knees with a cut on his nose or a nosebleed early in the fight, bleeding very badly.
Then when it was looking he could no longer continue, he dropped Fury.
Dream ended with both back in their corner, Usyk looking right back in it.
So even in my dreams I couldn't predict who would win....

Fury looks in good shape and I think it’s clear the game plan is to keep it long. Usyk is quite selective with his punches, he can be overly patient like Loma, Klitschko etc, I think back to the Bellew fight and how it took him a little while to get inside Bellew’s jab. I’m almost certain Fury wins this fight by a boring and quite ugly decision.
It’s a weird feeling because I do want Usyk to win but I just can’t see it happening when analysing the fight.
How much $$$ U give away to the bookies?
