Too late now. Lomachenko has announced retirement in the Kambosos post fight presscon.
How do Gervonta Davis fans feel about him avoiding prime Loma?

The blame lies where the blame lies
Loma himself had even contacted floyd directly in 2017 to goad him into making the tank fight
The feeling still isn’t likely to be mutual, but Vasyl Lomachenko wants to fight Gervonta Davis. Lomachenko made that clear Tuesday by sending a Tweet to Floyd Mayweather Jr. that referred to Mayweather’s reluctance to match Davis against him. Mayweather, whose company promotes Davis, has repeatedly indicated that Davis won’t fight Lomachenko at any point in the foreseeable future.Comment

How many fights do cross promotion? Floyd Manny, Fury Wilder 2 and 3, Tank Ryan Garcia just off the top of my head. And all of those fights had big cross over potential. Not necessarily Tank Loma. That’s why neither side really entertained making it. The only way they could’ve made the fight is if one side allowed their fighter to go over and fight on the other network. Neither side was willing to do that. So my point was why does one side take all of the blame while the other lies blameless?Comment

THANK YOU! The people on this site really make me want to punch them. Bob Arum has always said he doesn’t care for cross promotion fights unless they’re big. Tank just became a real star a few of fights ago. Loma was bigger than Tank, so if anything Lona should’ve been pushing for the fight because he was the A side. Did he? NO! It’s not Tanks fault he’s older now. Even in the post fight interview he didn’t sound enthused to fight Tank. IDK why people on this site start hating on fighters when they become a drawComment

Both fighters on opposite sides of the boxing political spectrum. So why does all the blame lie on Tank and why does Loma get a pass? Loma has the best promotion company and the biggest sports network in America on his side. Why wasn’t there any pressure on him to make the fight? He’s the higher ranked more accomplished fighter.Comment
