Thats why he was on weight weeks before the fight thinking he would be comfortable, but it didnt work. Still, he was a huge favourite in that fight and nobody predicted what happened, they thought even with the weight it was his fight.

No they didn't the big bets were dropping Oscar like a stone, lots of big bets after the weighin were refused, you are following the hype not the betting, the masses rule the odds until the big money comes in and after the weighin they shut the door on big Manny bets, believe me gaining 2lb after using an IV is like saying he caught gastro overnight, the man in the street takes no notice of weight especially so back then, oh lets make it a fair fight he is a little guy, so lets drain the big guy that's fair, and when we batter the MW better than we could anybody our size we become superman, only to have superpowers leave while finding God, nothing to do with no CWS where the opponent is now stronger than big drained guys.

Team Manny played the game and good on them I say they did great.

OLDEST WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF ALL TIME - FACT

        LINEAL FLYWEIGHT CHAMPION - FACT

Tell me you are confident someone else like Inoue can duplicate that.

Your racism can’t allow you to accept the fact that someone not in your race is the best.

Doesnt make him a better fighter than what we know him to be, all the cheers and streamer waving doesn't erase the path, we all seen the 8 loses, we seen the CWs and we seen the ref get paid off that might have derailed his career had he an official Tko loss to Hussain, Manny was a great fighter and very well managed.

Where you get racism from is from in you not me, I don't care one bit what race they are.

DLH thought he could beat any former flyweight at 147, whether it was Willie pep, Sandy Sadler or pac.
But after being out of his depth, he claimed he was drained

Yeah the IV and Oscar gaining 2lbs with Manny being heavier on the night was all a myth lol.

This win would have been the equivalent nowadays of Tank coming up and destroying Spence prior to the Crawford beatdown. A guy who was past his best but still considered a good fighter against a small guy with power coming up multiple weight classes. This fight could have been at 152 and Oscar was still getting smoked. He couldn't deal with the speed of Manny

Another one of them boxing party nights where there is no science on creating the perfect level playing field.
